Overview
Stockton Borough has a shared service agreement with Delaware Township for tax assessment.
Tax Assessor
The assessor is responsible for determining the fair market value of real property in Stockton Borough. This value serves as the basis for taxation. State law requires the Tax Assessor to assess all real property on a yearly basis by October 1st. The Tax Assessor is responsible for the maintenance of ownership lists and property transfers. The Tax Assessor also represents the township in all tax appeals.
Tax Map
A municipal tax map is a specialized, to-scale map used by Tax Assessors to identify, track, and manage all real estate parcels. It typically organizes land using a block, lot, and section numbering system to support the assessment and collection of property taxes.
