Note: Beginning April 1, 2026, water rates increased from $3.85 to $4.00 per thousand gallons, with an annual flat-rate user charge of $500.00 for all meters.
The Stockton Borough Water Department is a small, municipally owned utility that supplies residents with a dependable source of drinking water. Regular testing and maintenance are conducted to guarantee safety.
Under Executive Order #229, no household in New Jersey can have its electricity, gas or water service shut off due to non-payment through June 30, 2021. No gas or electric public or municipal utility or privately or publicly owned water system shall collect any fee or charge imposed for late or otherwise untimely payments or service reconnections that have accrued, and will continue to accrue, during the Public Health Emergency.
